Engagement Photoshoot at Dewberry Farm Tulip Field

I’m so excited to share this engagement photoshoot at Dewberry Farm with you today! When Kaylee reached out about engagement session photos at Dewberry Farm, I just couldn’t wait to work with them! There’s something so special about engagement sessions. Avery and Kaylee started dating when they were only 15 and 16 years old. How sweet is that! Now 7 years later they are engaged! They are going to get married on the beach in North Carolina. 

I took their engagement photos at Dewberry Farm. Dewberry Farm is a private residence that you can rent for small events.  Dewberry Farm’s address is 2585 Dewberry Farm Ln. Kernersville, NC 27284. On special occasions, it is open to the public: Spring Tulips, Summer Sunflowers, Mother's Day, and Father's Day. Their you-pick tulip field is a really cute scene for all types of photography such as engagement, family, kids portraits, and Senior sessions.  A flower field is a perfect place for non traditional engagement session photos. The tulips were in bloom the last two weeks in March and the first week in April.  In 2023, They charge $25 per hour for photography. The entrance price is $8 for adults and $5 for children. Tulips are $1.25 for each one you pick. They have a limited amount of baskets and clippers available to borrow. For any additional information, you can click here to visit their website.

They picked out the perfect spring engagement photo outfits.  If you need photoshoot outfit ideas this is a great example. Kaylee wore a short flowy dress. Avery had on khakis and a white top. The colors are light and the pattern on her dress isn’t too bold to distract from the subject. 

We did a quick 15-minute mini session and I tried to get some traditional engagement shoot poses and then a few non-traditional poses that fit with the location. 

Avery and Kaylee, thank you so much for allowing me to capture these precious memories for you! You two are so sweet, and it was great getting to know you guys better. I can’t wait to see you all continue to grow together!
