What to Expect After Your Photo Session
How Long Does it Usually Take to Get Photos?
After your session, you can let your hair down, put your feet up, and relax a little bit. I will get your photos back to you as soon as I can. I am typically pretty quick with getting your photos back to you as long as my kids are causing too much trouble. :) Your gallery is typically ready within a week of your session.
Culling and Editing
There is a lot of work behind the scenes with the editing process. I will cull your images to remove any I know you wouldn’t want (eliminating duplicates, blurs, and blinks, talking, etc.). It typically takes me around 4 times as much time to edit a session as it does to shoot it. I try my best to position you in the best lighting and location at the shoot to try and get the photo as nice as possible in camera to eliminate extra time after with extensive editing.
Gallery Delivery
You will receive an email with a link to the gallery. It will be a watermarked gallery. You can select your favorite images. You can click the shopping cart on individual images to add digital images to the cart or choose the option to purchase the entire gallery. Once purchased you will receive an email with a link to your downloads. The watermark will be removed on these downloads. You will want to download these, not screenshot them. I suggest if possible downloading them to a computer instead of a phone. When you screenshot or download to a phone you are getting a compressed file, not the full-resolution download. It might be fine for sharing to social media, but will likely become pixelated if you try and print.
Ordering Prints
Along with digital images you will have the option to order prints, cards, canvases, and other products. You are more than welcome to take the digital items and print them anywhere you would like. If purchasing prints through my store it will print them at a professional photo lab and have better quality and colors than a quick print lab like Walmart/CVS.
